This uses Whatnot's US rate card, in effect since Sept 21, 2026. Your total sales across all categories in a four-week period set your tier for the next period, and the category sets the rate (show category for live sales, product category for marketplace). Commission starts at 8% (4% for Coins) on the item price and drops at each tier. Payment processing is 2.9% + $0.30 on the total order, including buyer-paid shipping and tax.
High-value rule: in Comics & Anime, Toys & Hobbies, Coins & Money, Trading Card Games, Entertainment Cards, Sports singles, Bags & Accessories, and Jewelry & Watches, the part of an order's sale price above $1,500 gets 0% commission. Sports breaks and Surprise Products don't qualify. Processing still applies to the full order.
Buyer-paid shipping is not treated here as extra seller revenue. If you offer free or reduced shipping, giveaways, or post-sale shipping adjustments, enter the amount you cover as a seller deduction.

What This Whatnot Calculator Decides
Use this before a live show when you need a minimum starting bid or floor price. The output shows fees, earnings before COGS, net profit, ROI, and the sale price needed to hit your target profit.
Pick the category you list in and the tier you unlocked last period (Seller Hub shows it). If you're not sure of your tier, leave it on Standard, which is the highest rate, so the floor never comes out too low.

Shipping
Confirm any seller-covered shipping discount or adjustment did not erase the margin.

Most sellers wait for carrier-confirmed delivery; Early Payout depends on eligibility.
Live Show Floor Checks
Low-Price Lots
The fixed processing fee is meaningful on $5 and $10 items. Bundle low-price inventory or set a lot floor before the show starts.
Shipping Discounts
Free or reduced shipping is not free margin. Enter the seller-covered amount, then use the floor result as the minimum bid.
Reduced Rates
Lower tier rates and the high-value rule follow the category you list in. If you're unsure which applies, price from the Standard tier.
