Pokemon Card Value Scanner Workflow and Exact-Printing Finder

The photo-to-comps module accepts a front-card photo for a local browser preview, compares current scanner workflows, and makes the correction step explicit. It does not upload the image, auto-identify the card, or convert a scanner suggestion into a price claim.

A reseller uses this value finder after identifying a Pokemon card and collecting at least one real sold comp. The page turns low, typical, and high sold examples into a condition-adjusted raw range, subtracts buy cost, fees, and shipping, then compares that result against an estimated graded path.

Exact variant proof matters more than a generic card name. The upgraded tool asks for card name, set, collector number, condition, variant proof, front/back photo proof, exact comp count, raw comp range, buy cost, platform fee, shipping, grading cost, PSA 9/10 comps, and grade-confidence setting.

The Entei, Blastoise, Mewtwo, Raichu, Vaporeon, and Mew examples stay inside this canonical finder rather than creating one thin URL per character. Entei is deliberately split into Black Star Promo 34/53, Neo Revelation holo 6/64, Neo Revelation non-holo 17/64, and Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery GG36/GG70 lanes. The Entei module omits a static price and routes the visitor back to current accepted-sale research.

The Machamp example corrects the common assumption that a 1st Edition stamp automatically identifies a scarce booster-pulled Base Set holo. PSA documents that Base Set Machamp was distributed in a readily available starter deck, while CGC distinguishes the standard Galaxy Star holo from the CD-ROM Starter Kit cosmos-holo variant and documents counterfeit warning signs. The module separates Shadowless, later shadowed, cosmos-holo, wrapper-state, raw-condition, and exact slab-grade evidence before a sale enters the comp pool.

PSA announced in May 2026 that Value card tiers were temporarily paused effective June 2, 2026, so the calculator defaults to the publicly listed Regular card tier instead of an old bulk-fee assumption. The grading cost remains editable because service levels, declared value, shipping, insurance, and turnaround can change quickly.

The list is a research starting point, not a live quote. Every row is bound to a card name, set, collector number, and printing. Load only the identity into the finder, then replace the dated catalog estimate with current accepted-sale evidence for the exact condition and variant.

Pikachu demonstrates the identity problem clearly: Base Set unlimited yellow-cheeks Pikachu 58/102 and Shadowless red-cheeks Pikachu 58/102 share a name and number but had materially different dated estimates. Name-only price answers collapse that distinction and can create a bad buy ceiling.

Raichu needs the same separation between Base Set 14/102 and Paldea Evolved 211/193. Vaporeon Jungle holo 12/64 must not absorb Jungle non-holo 28/64, 1st Edition, or VMAX promo sales. Mew is broader still: promo #8, Ancient Mew, and Scarlet & Violet—151 Mew ex 205/165 are separate comp pools.

A useful Pokemon card value lookup starts with card name, set, collector number, printing, language, condition, and raw or slabbed state. A name-only query is not enough to combine different sets, editions, promos, conditions, or grades.

Machamp needs an identity packet rather than a character-wide price. The 1st Edition stamp is expected on the familiar English Base Set starter-deck card, so the seller must confirm the artwork-box shadow, holo pattern, wrapper state, raw condition or exact slab grade, language, and authentication evidence before accepting sales.

PSA CardFacts and PriceCharting can provide dated grade or catalog context, but eBay Product Research is the required current accepted-sale check. Reddit appraisals, PokeScope, DexTCG, and video explainers remain discovery aids rather than price authority.

The tool rewards exact sold comps and penalizes mismatched variants, missing photos, low comp counts, wide spreads, weak condition, and unrealistic fee inputs. That keeps one lucky sale or active asking price from becoming a bad buy ceiling.
